TDP #20: Updates on the Newsletter and Life
What's going on?
Hey friends,
Bit of a different issue this week! I wanted to take this article to catch everyone up on what’s been going on lately and some changes on the horizon.
First off, my deepest apologies for missing last week’s newsletter. We celebrated our daughter turning 1 last weekend and it was quite the event. I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off preparing and I completely dropped the ball on writing an article.
Second, I’ve been sick all week 🤒 So I’ve been focusing on resting and getting better. Once I’m over this, I’ll be back to providing more helpful data content!
That’s me drinking some green tea 👇
Ok, now onto the stuff that affects this newsletter…
1 | I’m moving my newsletter away from Substack
You won’t even notice the difference with this one as you’ll still receive newsletters to your inbox regularly. This is something that affects me much more than it affects you, I just wanted to announce the change and be transparent.
I’ll keep it short but essentially, I don’t think Substack is the best option for what I’m trying to do with this newsletter. It operates more like Medium where I can create articles for the general public, but I just want to send content directly to my audience.
It will be business as usual for you all 👌
I’m planning to make this transition final on 8/19/23. You’ll receive a post with the new platform then!
2 | I want to become more personable with this newsletter
I feel like the content in this newsletter has been pretty buttoned up, but I’m not a buttoned-up kind of guy.
So I want to show a bit more of my personality here and just have fun with it.
The emphasis will still be on data content to develop your career, I just want to inject some more life into it.
Hope that’s ok 😉
That’s it for this week.
See you all next time ✌️
